V-EB01/029 R Water Fang (ウォーター・ギャング) Zoo/Insect/Megacolony Normal/2/Intercept/9000/5000/1 AUTO [R]: When it [Stand], COST[C-Blast (1), put this unit into your soul], and draw two cards.
The new Water Gang for Megacolony is an insanely powerful card which can be cycled over and over from soul using Maching Stag Beetles's effect and Machining Spark Hercules stand to draw you a whole lot of cards. The card can also be activated on the unit's stand for turn for a hard plus 1 to cycle through the deck. The only caveat is that the that the combo costs 3 counterblast and will only be usable once or twice a game. That said the card's effect of sending itself to soul for a counterblast and then drawing 2 has such a great benefit that it will likely be run as a 4 of in most decks, especially since discard costs in Megacolony are very common. Not just that, the clan also has a good amount of counter charging, one on-hit version with Bloody Hercules and a power up skill version in the Butterfly Officer. Coupled with the fact that the card is a R, We will likely be seeing the card in every version of the Megacolony deck.
The other bit of information that this card gives is in the position taht it occupies in the set. This took up the last spot above Bloody Hercules which means we wont be getting a R grade 3 boss unit, so ultra budget decks cant be made. That said, the card is a welcome addition and we have 1 possible grade 1 or 0 R slot left so we'll see what happens. We also have 1 or 2 more common slots left, which may give us more interesting units to play around with. With just over a week left to the card release we can expect the set list to be fully revealed very soon.
