V-EB01/013 Unite Attacker (ユナイト・アタッカー) Dark Zone/Ogre/Spike Brothers Normal/3/Twin Drive!!/13000/-/1 | FORCE ACT [V] [1/Turn]: COST[S-Blast (7)], look at five cards from the top of your deck, call up to five cards from among them to [R], and put the rest on the bottom of your deck in any order. Three of your units in the front row get [Power] +5000 until end of turn.

Today's card of the day is one that takes Spike Brother's mechanic of constantly sending of cards into soul and turn it into a soulblast - a very large soulblast at that - that puts the cards from the top of your deck into the field and gives the entire front row 5000 power. The card itself doesn't require any cards on board but it's by no means an early turn move. The card needs a soulblas t of 7 which is probabbly only going to happen by turn 5 or maybe turn 4 if you have many copies of Wonder Boy, Highspeed Brakki and Juggernaut Maximum available.

While does encourage the thinning of the deck to get to the triggers but the problem with the strategy is that by thinning the deck and sending the powerful attackers to soul consistently, the deck has a lower chance of getting good top decks and thuis reducing the overall power of the board anyway. The strategy seems a little counter intuitive but it may have some use if any more cards allow the clan to send units from the drop zone to the field effectively enough - or have the ability to send cards that are soul blasted back into the deck.

Overall the card seems to lack the effective finishing power of some of the other cards we've seen like Soul Saver and yet also lacks the ability to be used early game and consistently like we've seen with Perfect Raizer and Machining Spark Hercules. While the card may see play in some fun or niche decks, it probably wont see the competitive scene unless new card combos with the new cards in the set. Either way we will have to wait and see what the clans main mechanic with the VR General Seifried will bring to the table.

The Destructive Roar drops on 29 June 2018, bringing Spike Brothers, Tachikaze and Megacolony into the fold. Personally I'm really looking forward to Megacolony because I really like the athsthetic. Let me know which of the 3 clans is your favourite and which clan release (not limited to these 3) you're most looking forward to and why!
