V-EB01/035 C Savage Raider (サベイジ・レイダー) Dragon Empire/Human/Tachikaze Normal/2/Intercept/9000/5000/1 AUTO [R]: When placed from hand, you may put the top card of your deck face down as one of your rear-guard's equip gauge. AUTO [R]: When it attacks a vanguard, you may choose one of your unit's gauge, and move it to another rear-guard's equip gauge

The Savage Raider seems rather normal and unexciting but will be an important card in the deck since the whole playstyle o Tachikaze will revolve around the new Armament gauge mechanic which you can read about here.

The first skill gives you a way to fuel the gauge on call and the second skill allows the mobility of one of the gauge pieces to be shifted to another unit, allowing multiple units to build up gauge and then shifting them to which ever unit is about to be retired to trigger the gauges effect. The Accel clan will have no shortage of circles to build up the gauge and have one or two left over to use this unit's utility mobility skill.

The building of the gauge will be extremely important and until there is a unit that allows for a more efficient way of building up the gauge, the skills of each unit will be a little bit of challenge to activate and use to full effect. Perhaps we will see some sort of continuos or auto ability on vanguard circle for the new Gigarex that will help to build up the gauge whenever a unit is placed or some other condition is met. This is all just speculation but having a skill like that active on the vanguard circle would definitely make the clan flow smoother.

One addition concern that that might cause however, is the deck out speed, due to the constant gauge arming and the cards being sent to the drop zone upon retire or lock. As you may or may not know, in vanguard, upon decking out the next instance that requires the player to draw a card when there is none available results in an instant loss. It remains to be seen if the clan will have anyway to deal with this: or if the clan will play hard and fast and lose to any long game resistance.

The Destructive Roar drops on 29 June 2018, bringing Spike Brothers, Tachikaze and Megacolony into the fold. Personally I'm really looking forward to Megacolony because I really like the athsthetic. Let me know which of the 3 clans is your favourite and which clan release (not limited to these 3) you're most looking forward to and why!
